I am a native speaker of French. I have been
passionate about foreign languages since my early childhood.
Languages have played an important role in my life. They have
enabled me to visit and live in different countries, to meet
people from other cultures and thus to broaden my mind. It
has been personally very fulfilling. I am proud of this richness
and want to communicate it to others.
I have studied several languages through both self-study
and education including English,
German, Russian, Norwegian,
Swedish and Italian.
In 1992 I passed my Baccalauréat in Foreign
Languages (English-German-Russian), French Literature
and Philosophy and Mathematics. I then studied English, German
and business at the University of Grenoble
(France) and Anglia Polytechnic University
in Cambridge (now Anglia Ruskin University)
and graduated with a Master equivalent in English and German
applied to international Trade and Business in 1998. I also
have a Certificate of Swedish from the University
of Stockholm (Sweden) and trained as a marketing
and sales assistant in Germany in 1995 and 1997.

In 1999 I started to give private tuition as a hobby. In 2001,
after extensive travelling throughout Europe since 1995, I
relocated to the UK and worked as a customer services co-ordinator.
In 2004 I decided to train as a teacher and I enrolled in
a PGCE course (Secondary Modern Foreign Languages) at the
University of Southampton. I taught French and German in Secondary
schools in Hampshire. In June 2005 set up nzLanguages
and started to offer language tuition in
French and German to private individuals, schools and businesses.
I have taught adults who were re-locating to France or Germany,
people with regular business contacts with clients abroad,
British home owners in France, schooled and non-schooled children,
adults who wanted to learn a new language as a hobby or have
extra tuition to reinforce and improve their knowledge and
prepared students for exams including GCSE, A-level, Common
Entrance, Test d'Evaluation de Francais (TEF) and Certificate
in Business Language Competence (CBLC).
I gradually broadened my language services to writing,
proofreading, copy-editing,
typing, transcription and translation.
In 2008-2009 I wrote the French AS-Level
and A2-Level
student course notes for Nelson Thornes Distance Learning
and in 2010 obtained a Certificate of Competence in
Proofreading and Copy-editing from Chapterhouse.
Please do not hesitate to contact
me if you have questions.
