PROOFREADING

It’s not always possible to give an exact amount as it all depends on the complexity/quality of the document and the deadline: e.g. a higher rate will be applied to a handwritten document that is not very legible. The standard rate based on a good quality document with a non-urgent deadline is £6.00 per 1,000 words. There is a minimum charge of 1,000 words. Again, each project needs to be assessed before I can give an exact amount. The fee will be payable in advance upon acceptance of the quote. No work will be started until I receive the payment.

TYPING

The fee depends on the quality of the source document and the deadline: if the handwriting is difficult to read, the manuscript messy or the audio document is hard to hear, then it will take more time to type. Please also note that typing from a tape/video is more time-consuming. Here are some rates based on a good quality document with a non-urgent deadline:

English written document: £0.40 per 100 words
French/German written document: £0.60 per 100 words
English audio document: £0.75 per audio minute
French/German audio document: £1.25 per audio minute

There is a minimum charge of 1,000 words for written documents and 5 minutes for audio documents. The fee will be payable in advance upon acceptance of the quote. No work will be started until I receive the payment.

Payment methods for all services: credit/debit card via PayPal the secure way to pay online, cash, postal orders and cheque (UK banks only). Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to "N. Zine". There is a processing fee of 4% for payments made through PayPal.
