Whatever the purpose, I am here to help you achieve your aim whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced learner. I ensure that your learning is an enjoyable experience at an affordable rate. Quality teaching and student’s progress are very important to me and lessons are tailored to your needs in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

I teach French and German:
• French at all levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced, conversation, business, exam preparation, etc.
• German from complete beginner to GCSE (I don't teach business German)

I teach all age groups from children from to adults. I have a CRB Enhanced Disclosure.

Lessons can be face-to-face or online:
• Face-to-face lessons: they take place either at my home in Shirley or at your home/office depending on the day and time.
Lessons are on a one-to-one basis or in a group of 2 to 4 people. Small group tuition allows you to learn with your partner or friend in a more cost-effective way and without the disadvantages of a large class setting. It also suits students who wish to revise and prepare for their GCSE/A-level exams with a friend.
Face-to-face lessons are usually 1 to 2 hours long (30- and 45-minute slot available for KS1 and KS2 children) but feel free to contact me if you wish to have lessons under 60 minutes. The format of the lessons can be conversation, grammar practice, listening practice, exam preparation, business lessons, interview preparation, essay writing, etc.
• Online lessons: online tuition is a flexible way of learning a language and a cost-effective alternative to face-to-face tuition. There are no travel costs and you can have your lesson from the comfort of your home or office. All you need is Skype, a pair of headphones and a microphone.
Online tuition is only available on a one-to-one basis.
I offer two types of online tution:
a) conversation lessons (French only): conversation lessons are suitable to intermediate and advanced learners and last either 15 or 30 minutes. The conversation is spontaneous or based on a prepared text or topic.
b) customised lessons (French and German): they can be on practising a grammar point, pronunciation, preparing for an interview, working on an essay, etc. You tell me in advance what you would like to work on and I prepare it. Customised lessons can be of 10 minutes to 2 hours long. They are suitable for any levels.

My current regular teaching hours are:
• Weekday evenings
• Wednesdays all day from 8:45 am to 8:00 pm
• Thursday afternoons and evenings from 1:30 pm to 8:00 pm
• Saturday mornings

I am happy to negotiate other slots on an ad hoc basis, either mornings or afternoons. If you wish something more regular, I will need you to commit for at least 12 weeks. Thank you.
